Trip to Brisbane : Preparation

Apa nk citer ek? In term of preparation...byknye brg2 Mujahid. Yelah, takut gak kot2 xde brg2 dia kt sana nnt cth susu Promil Gold, cereal, diapers n etc...Since kitorg ada sesi bermandi manda, so carikkn mujahid swimwear. Ni pon satu hal coz payah bebenor carik size yg comey mcm mujahid. Merata gak la kitorg pegi...kt Mothercare ada gak jual tp bkn dlm bajet kami (bajet ekonomi jek ni). Last2 beli kt Jusco Bkt Raja...kaler sgt cun, pandai papa mujahid pilih. Say thank you to papa, ye sayang...

Antara bende lain yg penting ialah passport n visa. Since this is Mujahid's 1st oversea trip, so kena la buat. Lgpon, passport also near to expiry date (less than 6 month...ada yg kena Nk ngambik gambo passport Mujahid tu...agak payah skit. Dia bkn bole duduk sendiri. Kena org pegang (in this case, mama nye la) n papa kena jd pak lawak utk attract Mujahid's attention. Cerita psl passport, kitorg melalui pelbagai kesukaran...cewah, mcm drama swasta. Kitorg plan nk wat kt Kompleks PKNS. So one Saturday abt 2 weeks b4 the trip, kitorg pegi la PKNS. Around 10am, xde rezeki coz no giliran dh abih. So kitorg pegi la esoknye. This time around, system plak down. Huk3x. Yg ok kt Jln Duta n Putrajaya. But, malas nk travel ke sana. So we decided to go to Port Klang the next morning. Only Abg n Mujahid. Around 7.30am, abg sampai kt sana togede dgn baba mama. Lepas setel, kena tgu abt 1hr passport siap. Alhamdulillah, akhirnya kami semua berpasspot. Yeye. Psl visa plak, we got Kopetro Travel to apply online. Dorg caj RM50 per passport. They printed a copy of visa and we just need to bring along the slip. The easiest way is to cut it into smaller size that fit into your passport.

Both of us took leave on Thursday. We went to Port Klang to look for money changer. Unfortunately, none of the money changers have AUD at that time. Finally we had a deal with this 1 money changer however, they only can provide the cash after 2 hours. Then, we went to Giant to buy milk, cereals n biscuits for Mujahid. We also bought additional socks for him and slippers for us. Almaklumlah...nk gi beach. Finished with last minute shopping. Balik n continue packing.

There are tips when you want to pack your bags especially for long distance and with baby. You need to separate clothes and other things such as milk, cereals and biscuits. Easy for Aussie Custom to inspect. We've been told that Aussie Custom really strict with things that we take into their country. You also need to have a bag with baby's stuff eg toys, extra clothes, diapers, baby's travel kits for hand luggage. In order to save space, you may want to roll your clothes instead fold n stack those into your bag. Another tip is to label or tag your bags. For us, I just tied peach colour ribbon to all our bags including buggy. This is for easy recognition. Who knows, maybe there people using the same type n colour of bag. Total no of bags that we took along were 5 (1-clothes for 3 of us, 1-Mujahid's milk, cereals, biscuits n other stuff, 1-Mujahid's diaper bag, 1-backpack to bwk jln2 time kt sana, 1-pouch for passports n purses) and plus buggy.

After we got our AUD, we faced another problem. When I booked the tickets on Oct 2009, we didn't provide Mujahid's passport no as he yet to have one. So I thot to amend our ticket thru online. We just found out that we need to fax copy of passport for infant 48 hours before departure time. Amendment thru online can be done for adult. We've been advised to go to the nearest Airasia Sales Agent to make amendment since not so much time left. Kesian sgt kt Abg, dh la penat kena keluar 2 kali td, cuaca pon bole thn panas n now nk kena gi Subang airport lama utk wat amendment. N lg sekali Alhamdulillah abg manage to solve the issue.

So far, tu jelah kot bab preparation...Kita cerita psl trip la plak ye....
